Rita Mae Singleton, 73, of Sweet Springs, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Sweet Springs with William W. Harlow officiating. Born March 24, 1938, in Sweet Springs, she was the daughter of the late Emil C. Hillebrenner and Louella S. Ritter Hillebrenner. She had lived in Sweet Springs her entire life where she was a rural mail carrier for 30 years. On Aug. 20, 2001, she married Robert H. (Bob) Singleton who preceded her in death on Aug. 9, 2005. She was a Methodist.
Survivors include one daughter, Rhonda G. Cramer of Sweet Springs; three step-sons, Bron Robert Singleton and Troy Huston Singleton, both of Sweet Springs, and Jon C. Singleton of Concordia; two grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Mutz of Junction City, Kan., and Dorothy Yeagle of Blue Springs; along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Emil (Buddy) Hillebrenner and one sister, Carol Jean Kroeschen.
