Geraldine "Jeri" Kohlman, 72, of Marshall, formerly of Mobridge, S.D., died Saturday, April 23, 2011, at University Hospital in Columbia.
She was cremated and a ceremony will be held this summer in Mobridge. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born Jan. 10, 1939, in Cape Girardeau County, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Winkler and Pearl Grace Wondel Winkler Brown. She was a 1957 graduate of Marshall High School. On Jan. 9, 1964, in Los Angeles, Calif., she married L.A. "Tony" Kohlman, who preceded her in death on May 31,1994. She had lived in Marshall the past four months, moving from Mobridge, S.D., where she worked at the Mobridge Country Club and managed the Sereno Café and Country Chicken Restaurant.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Kohlman of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Matthew Kohlman of Seabrook Texas; one granddaughter; one sister, Pearline Copas of Marshall; one brother, Benson Winkler of Marshall Junction; one half-brother, Arthur David Brown of Lincoln; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Arthur L. Brown.
