Charles Robert Hayob, 86, of Marshall, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2011, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Born Sept. 12, 1924, in Marshall, he was the son of the late John Henry Hayob and Bertha Schieszer Hayob. He had lived in Marshall his entire life, was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a graduate of Missouri Valley College. On June 12, 1947, in Marshall, he married Novelene (Nonnie) Hayob who preceded him in death on Dec. 14, 2000. He retired as water department superintendent from Marshall Municipal Utilities. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 876 in Marshall, Malta Bend American Legion Post 558 and served on the Ridge Park Cemetery Board and Marshall School Board.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Ravenhill and her husband, Richard (Rick), of Columbia and Kathy Hoke and her husband, Jack, of Springfield; four grandchildren, Colin Ravenhill and his wife, Stefanie, Scott Ravenhill and his wife, Sophia, Sarah Hoke and Tyler Hoke and his fiancée, Charlene Hamilton; four great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Katie Hayob of Kansas City; one brother-in-law, Thomas Mullin of Chicago, Ill. and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, Rosemary Mullin, and one brother, Harold Hayob.
