Vikings put three in top 10 at MVC Invite

The Missouri Valley College men's golf team placed three entries in the top 10 last week during the MVC Spring Invitational at Indian Foothills Golf Course.

The Vikings finished sixth out of nine squads with 647 points. Junior Jordan Dickson finished fourth in a field of 65 golfers with a seven-over-par 151, freshman Josh Coletti tied for fifth at 152 and sophomore Matt Procyshen came in at 154 to share ninth place.

Junior J.D. Nash fired a one-over 145 to take first and lead William Woods to the team title, 618 to 623 over Evangel.

The Lady Owls dominated the women's side by taking the top six spots for 656 points, well ahead of the 820 tallied by Missouri Baptist. Junior Jada Bennington shot 152 for a 14-stroke victory over her second-place teammate.

The Valley women were fourth with 292 points, senior Leah Bartlett their highest finisher with a 198 for 14th place.
