Doris R. Cooper, 75, of Marshall, died Thursday, March 17, 2011, at University Hospital in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev. Randy Shannon officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to Marshall Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Born April 17, 1935, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Perryman and Opal Medley Perryman. On June 18, 1953, she married Joseph W. Cooper who preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 1993. She had lived in Marshall most of her life and retired from Sears in 1993. She was a member of Marshall Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Debra Schreiman of Waverly; three granddaughters, Angelique Thurman and her husband, Mark, Autumn Kiso and Ashley Kiso; seven great-grandchildren, Colin, Lakin, Owen, Olivia, Kyren, Realeigh and Kinli; four brothers, Robert Perryman of Marshall, Leonard Perryman of Norwalk, Calif., Douglas Perryman of Overland Park, Kan. and Richard Perryman of Seabrook, Texas; three sisters, Ruby Leap of Kansas City, Patsy Green of San Clemente, Calif. and Glenda Mesquit of Louisville, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Cooper in infancy, two brothers, Jack Perryman and Charles Perryman; and two sisters, Venita Gabert and Elaine Crawford.
