Lavon Naught Bargfrede, age 86, of Alma, and formerly of Carrollton, died Monday, March 7, 2011, at Lutheran Nursing Home in Concordia.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2011, at Gibson Funeral Home in Carrollton with Rev. Ken Prewitt officiating. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Carrollton. The family suggests contributions be made to the Lutheran Good Shepard Alzheimer Unit in Concordia, in memory of Lavon. Born July 30, 1924, in Pitcher, Okla., she was the daughter of the late George and Alice (Endecott) Miller. She attended school in Galena, Kan. On Aug. 4, 1941, in Lexington, she married Seamer Noah Naught who preceded her in death on March 21,1999. She married Harlan Bargfrede on March 28, 2005, in Carrollton, who survives at the home.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Alice Trent of Marshall, Tom Naught and Rick Naught of Jefferson City, Harry Naught of Eldon, and Barbara Gore of Kauai, Hawaii; fourteen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren;

In addition to her parents and first husband she was preceded in death by one infant son, Billy Ray Naught; three brothers, Leonard Miller, George Miller Jr., and Clarence Miller; and one sister, Claudine Morehead.
