Donald E. Hawley, 62, of Wichita, Kan., died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at his home.
Memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2011, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Haysville, Kan. Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m., Thursday, March 3, 2011, also at the church. Memorials may be made locally to American Cancer Society in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Downing and Lahey Mortuary and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Born Oct. 14, 1948, in Wichita, Kan., he was the son of the late Harold and Dorothea Hawley. He graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School in Prairie Village, Kan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Germany. On Aug. 21, 1971, he married Susie Kollefrath, who survives of the home. He was retired from Boeing Aircraft and worked as a Quality Assurance Specialist for Spirit Aerosystems.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Larry Hawley of Goddard, Kan., Destiny, Ashley and Christmas Hawley, all of Wichita, Kan.; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; two sisters, Mary Kay Donnell of Marshall, and Sandy Addis of Wichita, Kan.
