Hazel Blackerby, 92, of rural Marshall, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at University Hospital in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev. Steve Raglin officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Born April 30, 1918, in Saline County, she was the daughter of the late Irvin N. Blackerby and Lilly Shrader Blackerby. She lived in Saline County her entire life and was a homemaker. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Marshall.
Survivors include one sister, Doris Jones, of rural Sweet Springs; one brother, Clarence Blackerby, of rural Sweet Springs; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Lloyd Blackerby; and two sisters, Elsie Prevo and Velma Skouby.
