Dawn A. Arns, 65, of rural Gilliam, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at her home.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater, with Rev. Chris Weber officiating. Bethany Weiker, organist, will play "Amazing Grace" and "In The Garden." Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society.
Born Feb. 9, 1946, in Chicago, she was the daughter of the late William P. Stevens and Marjorie Wagner Calvert, who survives of Phoenix, Ariz. On Dec. 22, 2000, she married David Arns, who survives of the home. She attended Gilliam Baptist Church and worked as a teller at State Bank of Slater for eight years until her retirement.
In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by one son, Travis Royall, of Austin, Texas; one daughter, Melissa Ebert, of Olathe, Kan.; one step-son, Michael Arns, of Green River, Wyo.; six grandchildren; one brother, Edwin Pacion, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and three sisters, Margie Ann Tennyson of Glendale, Ariz., Anita Trivitt, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Cindy Gawelko, of Phoenix, Ariz.
