Robert Wayne (Red) McFadden, 78, of Marshall, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Community Cancer Center or American Heart Association. Born Oct. 20, 1932, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Charles McFadden and Christie Leete McFadden. On Oct. 15, 1955, he married Alice Lawson who preceded him in death on Jan. 21, 1991. He was a 1950 graduate of Marshall High School and after graduation he served in the Mo. National Guard for four years. He worked at International Shoe Company in Marshall from 1951 until its closing and worked at Banquet Foods for six years before retiring. He was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include his life partner, Roberta Reed, of the home; two daughters, Deborah MacEwen and her husband, George, of Kansas City, and Susan Cofer and her husband, Alan, of Marshall; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one nephew, David Martin of Gulfport, Miss.; and Roberta's son, Jeff Reed, and his son, James.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Wyonia Barron and Olive Martin.
