Ronald Dean Heather, 50, of Carrollton, formerly of Marshall, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at his home.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation was held from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Born Nov. 24, 1960, in Marshall, he was the son of Howard L. Heather who survives of Slater, and the late Lillian Bennett Heather. He had lived in Carrollton for many years and was a self-employed construction worker.
In addition to his father, he is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth D. Lewis of Marshall; two grandchildren; his companion Sandra Eddy of the home; four brothers, Darold Heather and his wife, Linda, of Slater, Tommy Heather of Slater, Timmy Heather and his wife, Sheila, and Kevin Heather, all of Fairfax; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Helen Bennett, and his paternal grandparents, Howard Heather and Mary L. McKissick Heather.
