Dennis Allen Kreisel, 55, of rural Houstonia, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, at I-70 Community Hospital in Sweet Springs.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at Houstonia Baptist Church, with Pastor Kevin Anstine officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Born September 3, 1955, in Sedalia, he is the son of Carl Dean Kreisel who survives of Houstonia and the late Sakie Evelyn Venable Kreisel. He lived in Houstonia most of his life and was a 1973 graduate of Northwest High School in Hughesville. On Sept. 11, 2005, he married Ann Ramsey who survives of the home. He was a truck driver for over 30 years for various companies. He was a member of Houstonia Baptist Church and a member and current president of Brush Pullers of Missouri Tractor Pulling Club.
In addition to his wife and father, Dennis is survived by his children, Kimberly Franklin of Hughesville, Julia Ann Waller of Sedalia and Paul Allen Kreisel of Hughesville; one stepson, Nathan Belden of the home; his stepmother, Betty Dotson Kreisel of Houstonia; three grandchildren; four brothers, Michael Dean Kreisel, Jeffrey Dale Kreisel and Thomas Stephen Kreisel all of Houstonia and Daniel Ray Kreisel of Sedalia; one sister, Karen Ann Brandt of LaMonte; and several nieces and nephews.
