Jerry Miller, 63, of Sweet Springs, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Emma, with Pastor Rick Swanson officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the church. Burial will be in Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery. Born Jan. 12, 1948, in Boonville, he was the son of the late John Henry Miller Jr. and Joella Ann Poindexter Miller. He was a 1966 graduate of Prairie Home High School. On Sept. 22, 2007, he married Carol Wodrich Loges who survives of the home. He had lived in Sweet Springs most of his life, retiring in May of 2009 from Panhandle Eastern Pipeline in Houstonia. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Sweet Springs Ducks Unlimited, Quails Forever and the National Rifle Association.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Cindy Driver and her husband, Roger, Kim Frerking and her husband, Jeff, and Melissa Storck and her husband, Jeff, all of Concordia, and Jennifer Rader and her husband, Eric, of Sweet Springs; nine grandchildren, Ashley, Josh and Trent Driver, Kylie and Jenna Frerking, Danielle Mueller, and Brad, Derek and Mikayla Storck; one great-grandson, Jaxon Wood; and one sister, Jane Miller and her husband, Steve Pello, of Lee's Summit.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents.
