Betty Fizer, 74, of Marshall, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2011, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Burial was in Sunset Gardens Cemetery. Born July 11, 1936, in Saline County, she was the daughter of the late George Washington Bennett and Mary Highbarger Bennett. On June 25, 1950, she married Charles Glen Fizer who preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 2000. She had lived in Marshall most of her life where she worked at Banquet Foods and Marshall Habilitation Center. She was a member of Marshall Community of Christ Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Glenda C. Bakert of Warsaw and Christine Ritchie of Lincoln; six sons: Dale Fizer, Wayne Fizer, Rick Fizer, Joe Fizer, Frank Fizer, all of Marshall, and Kenny Fizer of Sweet Springs; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; one sister, Marilyn South of Marshall, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
