Mary Jane Bibens, 86, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, at Carroll House in Carrollton.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Carrollton. A Rosary will be said at 10:45 a.m. with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. with Rev. Kenneth Criqui officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Carrollton.
The family suggests memorials to Crossroads Hospice or Alzheimer's Association in memory of Mary Jane. They may be left at or mailed to Gibson Funeral Home, 201 S. Main St., Carrollton Mo., 64633.
Born Oct. 8, 1924, in Carrollton, she was the daughter of the late Valentine and Mary Helen (Regentz) Germann. On Sept. 3, 1949, she married David Charles Bibens at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Carrollton. He preceded her in death on March 29, 1973. She graduated from Carrollton High School and worked as an LPN at the Marshall Habilitation Center in Marshall for thirteen years, retiring in 1990. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Carrollton.
She is survived by three children, David Bibens and his wife, Kay, of Del City, Okla., Jeff Bibens and his wife, Christine, of Dodge City, Kan., and Mary Lock and her husband, Dave, of Bogard; one daughter-in-law, Diane Bibens, of Marshall; two brothers, Val Germann and his wife, Leona, of Carrollton, and Arthur Germann and his wife, Sue, of Dover, Del.; fourteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by one son, Garth Edward Bibens; one brother, Paul Stark; and two sisters, Florence Germann and Bonnie Miller.
