Dale Johnson, 63, of Houstonia, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, at I-70 Community Hospital in Sweet Springs.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, at Houstonia Baptist Church with William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will be in Houstonia Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church and the family suggest memorials be made to the church in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Born Sept. 5, 1947, in Fayette, he was the son of the late Eugene Johnson and Dorothy Murphy Johnson. On June 4, 1965, he married Mary Dillon who survives of the home. Dale lived in the Houstonia area most of his life where he worked at Williams Farms for 34 years. He was a long time member of Houstonia Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five daughters, Debbie Martin and her husband, Ted, of Stilwell, Kan., Dorothy Hiller and her husband, Lynn, of Nelson, Vicki Tubbs and her husband, Scott, of Gunter, Texas, Kathy Swift and her husband, Dale, of rural Marshall, and Mary Meyer and her husband, Kenny, of Concordia; five sons, Kenneth Johnson and his wife, Stephanie, of Hughesville, Rickey Johnson of Houstonia, Bryan Dillon and his wife, Tracie, of Sweet Springs, Aaron Dillon of Sedalia, and Scott Dillon and his wife, Melinda, of Sweet Springs; 25 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Larry Johnson of Clinton, Gary Johnson of Sedalia, and Roger Johnson of Marshall; three sisters, Donna Kraus of Pilot Grove, Beverly Dove of Green Ridge, and Judy Evans of Marshall; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Everette Johnson.
