Ralph E. Davis, 93, of Claycomo, formerly of rural Marshall, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev. Randy Huff officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to Fish Creek Baptist Church. Born Jan. 10, 1917, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Emmett E. Davis and Freda Leimkuehler Davis. On June 6, 1943, he married Isabelle Heuman who preceded him in death on June 27, 2001. He had lived in Saline County most of his life, moving to Claycomo in 2004, and was a farmer. He was a member of Fish Creek Baptist Church and also attended Claycomo Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Charles Davis of Garden City, Kan., Roger Davis of Claycomo and Harry Davis of rural Marshall; one daughter, Marilyn Chambers of Green Ridge; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mabel Davis and Ruby Neff both of rural Marshall and Mary Ellen Ward of Independence; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, Nelson Lee Davis and Elmer Dean Davis in infancy.
