Wally Neal Leimkuehler, 73, of rural Slater, died Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at Salem Evangelical Church near Saline City, with Tony Gallagher officiating. Bethany Weiker, organist, will accompany the congregation in singing "More Love to Thee", "O Christ" and "I Need Thee Every Hour". Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Blumhorst, Jimmy Leimkuehler, Larry Desmond, Barry Beddingfield, Derrick Thomason and Daniel Thomason. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater. Memorials are suggested to the church.

Born October 20, 1937, in Glascock County, Ga., she was the daughter of the late James Ralph Neal Sr. and Nancy Snider Neal. On April 4, 1959, in Sacramento, Calif., she married Robert W. Leimkuehler who survives of the home. She was a member of Salem Evangelical Church near Saline City and the church's Ladies Aid. She was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a longtime resident of Slater.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Jeff B. Leimkuehler and David N. Leimkuehler and his wife, Linda, of rural Slater; a daughter-in-law, Teri Leimkuehler of Gilliam; two grandchildren, Tiffany Mullins and Miranda Leimkuehler; two great-grandchildren, C.J. Forsythe and Isaac Richards; two brothers, Billy Neal of Bartow, Ga., and James Ralph Beal Jr. of Mitchell, Ga.; two sisters, Hazel Beddingfield of Gibson, Ga., and Jennie Johnson of Augusta, Ga.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Bruce D. Leimkuehler and one brother, Dwight Neal.
