William Harold (Bill) Perkins, 65, of Slater, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at the home of his daughter.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery in Miami. Memorials may be made to family choice. Born Dec. 14, 1944, in Huntsville, he was the son of the late Raymond Harold Perkins and Elsie Louise Freeman Perkins. He had lived in Slater the last eight years, moving from the Herndon community, and worked at Arcola Quarry in Arkansas and Wilson Foods and Quinn Concrete, both in Marshall.
Survivors include his children, Sheila Pickett of Warsaw, Rosemary Boeck of Slater and Julie Herbst of Auxvasse; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Stark of Sweet Springs and Carolyn Perkins of Ft. Smith, Ark.; two brothers, Raymond Perkins, Pocola, Okla. and Larry Perkins of San Juan, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter.
