Dewayne Meyer, 45, of Marshall, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010, at University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia.
Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, at United Pentecostal Church in Marshall, with Rev. Pete Swaringam officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the church. Memorials may be made to family choice. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Born June 12, 1965, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Clinton A. (Tiny) Meyer and Shirley Browder Meyer who survives of Marshall. He was a 1984 graduate of Marshall High School and had lived in the Marshall area his entire life. On Sept. 1, 1989, he married Wanda Roll who survives of the home. He was a laborer for area farmers most of his life and was a member of the United Pentecostal Church.
Additional survivors include his stepchildren, Lana McComas and John McComas both of Kansas City, and Billy Standridge and Travis Standridge both of the state of Arkansas; one brother, Danny Meyer and his wife, Staci, of Marshall; two sisters, Michelle Whyte and her husband, Steve, of Marshall and Kristy Forrester and her husband, Scott, of Hardeman; and several nieces and nephews.
