Everett H. Bostwick, 95, of Marshall, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, at Mar-Saline Manor in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev. John E. Bostwick officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Born Sept. 17, 1915, in Grain Valley, he was the son of the late Roy Bostwick and Elizabeth Hilt Bostwick. He graduated from Halls Memorial High School in Buckner. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict and was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. On Dec. 21, 1956, he married Florence E. Ohlendorf who preceded him in death on June 14, 2007. He had lived in Marshall since 1976, moving from Grain Valley, and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Independence. He retired from Lake City Arsenal.
Survivors include one son, John E. Bostwick of Independence; one daughter, Joan Long of Independence; one granddaughter, Nicole Carleton; one great-granddaughter, Annabelle Rose Carleton; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ed Bostwick.
