Louzetta Fern (Lou) Venable, 80, of Marshall, died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010, at Westport Estates Assisted Living in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m.Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to Westport Estates Assisted Living. Born June 14, 1930, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late James David Vaught and Maggie Ellis Vaught. On April 1, 1956, she married Robert Gene Venable who preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 2008. She had lived most of her life in the rural Sweet Springs area, was a homemaker and enjoyed her family and friends. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Sweet Springs.
Survivors include one daughter, Rebecca A. Limback of Waverly; one son, Russell E. Venable of Santa Fe, N.M.; two grandchildren, Jeremiah Dean Limback of Emma and Kristina Gayle Johnson and her husband, Marc, of rural Sweet Springs; two great-grandchildren, Dalyn William Johnson and Ashtyn Breyon; one sister, Maurine Kleinschmidt and her husband, Wesley, of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
