Jim Biles, 80, of rural Houstonia, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010, at his home.
Graveside services with masonic and military rites will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, at Houstonia Cemetery, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs. Memorials may be made to family choice. Born Sept. 26, 1930, in Houstonia, he was the son of the late Bill Biles and Alice Arrington Biles. He was a 1948 graduate of Houstonia High School and a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He had lived in rural Houstonia for many years and was retired from Western Auto where he was an electronics technician. He was a member of the Swope Park Masons in Kansas City and American Legion Post 642 in Sedalia.
Survivors include one son, Steven Biles, of rural Houstonia; one daughter, Sandra Biles Martin, of Ingleside, Texas; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
