Mona Belle Parker, 94, died Saturday, Oct. 9. 2010.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, at First Assembly of God Church, 1100 N. 7th St., in Columbia, with the Rev. Dave Smith, Rev. Tracy Cook and Rev. Dennis Stuart officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, at the church. Born June 5, 1916, in Kansas City, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Nellie Grace Miller. On Nov. 12, 1938, she married Rev. Charles A. Parker, who preceded her in death. She was a graduate of North Central Bible College in Minneapolis, Minn. She was an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God and the author of the book "Revelation Revealed."
She is survived by one daughter, Charla Mae Smith, of Baton Rouge, La.; one son, Daniel Dean Parker of Lenexa, Kan.; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Marthelle Parks of Raytown and Maurine Hopkins of Thornton, Colo.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Belle Koelling; a son, Charles M. Parker; a brother, Martin Miller and a sister, Bonnie Burson.
