Leo Carl Walsh, 79, of Brookfield, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010, at Brookfield Assembly of God Church with Rev. Everett Bradshaw officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Brookfield, with Rev. Ron Adrian officiating and Rev. Mike Myers assisting with the services. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, at Brookfield Assembly of God Church with the family receiving friends from 6 to 9 p.m. that evening.
Born February 27, 1931, in the Brookfield area, he was the son of Lawrence and Lucy (Carl) Walsh. On February 11, 1955, in Brookfield, he married Jean Mosley. He was a member of Brookfield Assembly of God Church where he served as Deacon. He was also a member of the Sate Corn Husking Association in Marshall and Missouri Draft Horse & Mule Association. He served as #1 Teamster of the annual Sate Corn Husking Championship. He worked for Ameren UE for 42 years and farmed.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gene Walsh, and a niece.
