Kingsville Livestock Auction: Cattle Auction Report for 10/05/2010

   Compared to last week, better quality steers 2.00 to 5.00 higher;
better quality heifers steady to instances 2.00 lower.  Slaughter cows
steady.  Feeder supply moderate with a moderate to good test of most
classes of feeders.  Average feeder quality was very good but with some
fleshier offerings.  Demand was moderate to good - best mid sale.  Cows
and bulls were 18 percent of receipts.  In the feeder supply, steers and
bulls were 60 percent of the run; heifers 40 percent.  Near 28 percent of
feeders weighed over 600 lbs.
