A property owner in rural Marshall stopped a vandal at 4 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, and held him at gunpoint until deputies arrived.
The property owner was notified that someone had broken into to his trailer and was vandalizing it. According to the sheriff's report, the owner announced he was armed and ordered the vandal to exit the residence.
The property owner said he was armed with a small pistol. Damage to the property on KillDeer Drive just north of Marshall was described to be about $800.00.
The alleged vandal was a former tenant at the property. He was arrested and charges are pending.
