Tommie E. Templeton, 80, of rural Keytesville, died Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall, with Chris Harper officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to family choice. Born April 23, 1930, in Warsaw, he was the son of the late Pearl Ed (Tobe) Templeton and Nettie Ruth Jinkins Templeton. He was a 1947 graduate of Warsaw High School. On Sept. 1, 1951, he married Vivian Underwood who survives of the home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Sharon Lyon, of Marshall, Randy Templeton, of rural Marceline, Brenda Marshman, of rural Sweet Springs and Danny Templeton, of rural Smithton; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Eddie Templeton, of rural Richmond; eight sisters, Ada Hare, of rural Lincoln, Shirley Swift, of rural Marshall, Thelma Koenigsfeld, of rural Lincoln, Judy Oehrke, of rural Sedalia, Linda Meyer, of rural Otterville, Patty Smith, of Liberty, Peggy Beck, of Quincy, Ill. and Pam McDaniel of Springfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three daughters, Terri Lea Templeton, Joyce Marie Templeton and Cathy Sue Templeton, and one brother, Jessie Templeton.
