Helen Marie Stuenkel, 82, of Marshall, formerly of Concordia, died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, at University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshall, with Rev. Douglas A. Dubisar officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Concordia. Born Aug. 17, 1928, in Emma, she was the daughter of the late Emil Beermann and Stella Haesemeyer Beermann. She was a 1946 graduate of Concordia High School. On October 26, 1947, she married Willard H. Stuenkel, who preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 1980. She had lived in Marshall the last 40 years, moving from Concordia, and had worked at ConAgra for 25 years. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and was a volunteer at the Marshall Senior Center for many years.
Survivors include one daughter, Joy Seitz, and her husband, Jim, of Lexington; one grandson, Michael Seitz, and his wife, Lilly Coye; one granddaughter, Rebecca Seitz; one brother, Paul Beermann, and his wife, Eunice, of Concordia; one brother-in-law, Raymond Stuenkel of Concordia; one sister-in-law, Arleen Dittmer, and her husband, Marvin, of Concordia; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Leonard Beermann, and one sister, Laverna Bockelman.
