Graham was the subject of a nationwide search after he allegedly shot a Marshall woman in mid-June. He was apprehended in Boone County July 6, and is charged there with class A felony drug trafficking in the first degree. A court appearance in the 13th Circuit Court is scheduled for Sept. 15.
He appeared in 15th Circuit Court in Saline County for arraignment Monday, Aug. 30. His attorney, public defender James P. Gray, entered a plea of not guilty. Following his appearance Monday, Graham was returned to Missouri Department of Corrections in Fulton.
Graham's next appearance in the Saline County proceeding is scheduled for Oct. 25; a jury trial is scheduled to begin Jan. 12, 2011.
If convicted, Graham could be sentenced to from 10 to 30 years, or life in Missouri Department of Corrections on the assault charge, a minimum of three years in DOC on the armed criminal action charge and up to seven years, or up to one year in county jail, and/or pay up to a $5,000 fine on the firearms charge.
Charges contained in reports provided by law enforcement officials are not evidence of guilt. Evidence supporting charges must be presented before a jury, whose duty is to determine if the accused is guilty or not guilty of the charges.
