Curtis Lee Brown, 87, of Marshall, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev. Steve Raglin officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial with military rites will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Pallbearers will be Jeff Brown, Alan Davidson, Jim Brown, Bruce Brown, Doug Bigge and Mike Kovac. Born January 6, 1923, in Saline County, he was son of the late Roy Brown and Mary Eddy Hager Brown. On July 18, 1942, in Marshall, he married C. Lucille Cundiff, who survives of the home. He had lived in Saline County most of his life and was a 1941 graduate of Marshall High School. He was owner and operator of Brown's Tile and Linoleum Company and was a distributor for The Kansas City Star for 46 years. He was a U.S. Navy Seabee veteran of World War II.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Raymond Curtis Brown and his wife, Sandra, of Sanford, N.C.; one daughter, Connie Lee Davidson and her husband, Orvil, of Pattonsburg,; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Curtis Brown and his wife, Rachel, Carolyn Brown, Alan Davidson and his wife, Melanie, and Vickie Diebold; eight great-grandchildren, Lauren Brown, Paige Brown, Jordan Brown, Drew Davidson, Cara Davidson, Sonny Lett, Ryan Davidson and Jessica Davidson; one great-great-grandson, Will Mathis; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Roy W. Brown; one sister, Eunice Marie Patrick; one grandson, Larry Davidson; and one great-granddaughter, Latesha Mouser.
