Susan Barr Summers Wissel, 56, of Sweet Springs, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, at University Hospital in Columbia.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, at Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery in Shackelford, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Memorials may be made to family choice. Born Aug. 20, 1953, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Richard B. Summers and Ida Rose Summers King. On Aug. 31, 1979, she married Rick Wissel, who survives of the home. She was a 1971 graduate of Sweet Springs High School, had lived in Saline County her entire life and was a Catholic.
Additional survivors include one son, Richard Wissel of Ozark; four sisters, Elizabeth Elson of Miami, Janet Loges of Sweet Springs, Rose Mary Crosswhite of Houstonia and Loretta Rennison of Sweet Springs; three brothers, John Summers of Lake Ozark, Mark Summers of Concordia and David Summers of Cameron; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister in infancy, Joan Frances Summers.
