Mae Leimkuehler, 89, of Bartlesville, Okla., formerly of Marshall, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, at TallGrass Estates in Bartlesville.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, at First Baptist Church in Marshall, with Rev. Wayne Doolin officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Marshall or Disciples Christian Church in Bartlesville. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at TallGrass Estates Chapel in Bartlesville. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born Feb. 26, 1921, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late George Franklin Weislocher and Ethel Blackburn Weislocher. On Jan. 14, 1945, she married R. Virgil Leimkuehler, who preceded her in death March 10, 1991. She had lived in Marshall since 1981, moving from the Hardeman community, and had lived in Bartlesville since 2007. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she held various positions within the church and sang in the church choir. She was a 4-H leader and was active in the Marshall Senior Center.
Survivors include one daughter, Betty Ann Sapp and husband, Warren, of Bartlesville; two grandchildren, Merrill Sapp and Aaron Sapp and wife, LeAnn Skinner Sapp; two great-grandsons, Kellen Sapp and Andrew Sapp; one brother, Harold Weislocher of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons in infancy and one sister, Ila Potter.
