   Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers sold steady to 2.00 lower on 
a light test. Slaughter cows 1.00 to 2.00 higher. Extreme heat and humidity 
continue to plague the area, making cattle movement difficult and sometimes 
dangerous. Supply light and demand moderate. Cows and bulls accounted for 20 
percent of the total offering. The feeder supply consisted of 75 percent steers 
and bulls and 25 percent heifers; 74 percent of all the feeders weighed over 600 
lbs. 

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1  300-400 lbs 136.00-137.50; 400-500 lbs 
131.00-132.50; few 500-600 lbs 124.00; pkg 715 lbs 115.00.  Medium and Large 1-2  
small pkg 130.00; small pkg 473 lbs 124.75;  600-700 lbs 114.75-117.75; lot 793 
lbs 111.00; load 808 lbs 110.10.  Large 1-2  lot 964 lbs 98.25.  Medium 2  pkg 
665 lbs 108.50.
