Donna was born May 14, 1938, in Shackelford, Mo., to Elmer and Ruby (Mark) Reed. She graduated fourth in her senior class at Marshall High School in 1956. Mrs. Wilson was proud to represent the Owls in both cheerleading and as yearbook editor. Mom was a cheerleader in her youth and she carried that forward into family life as a cheerleader and champion for each of us. She had a huge heart for someone so tiny. She also had a huge sweet tooth, especially for anything chocolate. Mom enjoyed traveling to historical places. She was an avid reader and in her younger days quite a bowler, swimmer and badminton player. In addition to being a fabulous mother and wife, Donna had a banking career that spanned almost 30 years. Prior to her retirement in 2000, she did secretarial and legal assistant work.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 50 years, Joe Wilson; daughter, Beth Wilson; son, Jeff Wilson and wife, Brenda; granddaughters, Jenna Wilson and Aimee Wilson; sisters, Sadie Moore, Elda Wiseman and husband, Carl, and Peggy Meloy.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy.
