At the Saline County Fair: Loges shows Supreme Champion Market Hog

The biggest livestock show of the week took place Thursday evening, July 15, when over 100 hogs were exhibited at the 2010 Saline County Fair Hog Show.

The Supreme Champion Market Hog was exhibited by Taylor Loges, while the Reserve Champion Market Hog was shown by Hannah Viets.

The Supreme Champion Breeding Gilt was shown by Johnny Johnson and the Reserve Champion Breeding Gilt was shown by Kati Viets.

Showmanship winners were: Tori Hinton, Junior (8-12); Austin Boland, Intermediate (13-15); and Morgan Fuehring, Senior (16 and over).

Shelby Gates was the High Point Individual and Alex Minkler was the 2nd High Point Individual. Other winners include the Champion Lightweight Market Hog shown by Brent Boland and the Reserve Champion Lightweight Market Hog shown by Dylan Hayworth.

Hannah Viets showed the Champion Medium Weight Market Hog and Morgan Fuehring showed the Reserve Champion Medium Weight.

The Champion Heavy Weight Market Hog was shown by Taylor Loges and Brent Boland exhibited the Reserve Champion Heavy Weight.

Receiving special premiums for taking first place in Breeding Gilt classes were: Katie Viets, Johnny Johnson, Alex Minkler, Olivia Loges and Austin Knipmeyer.

Receiving premiums for taking first place in the Market Hog classes were: Lauren Fuehring, Jade Jenkins, Brent Boland, Alex Minkler (2), Morgan Fuehring, Hannah Viets, Taylor Loges and JW Davis.

Receiving premiums for taking second place in Breeding Gilt classes were: Shelby Hayworth, Lucas Hinnah, Hannah Viets, Jarrett Fuehring and Abby Gass.

Receiving premiums for taking second place in Market Hog classes were Alex Minkler, Austin Boland, Dylan Hayworth, Tyler Jenkins, Bailey Boland, Spencer Thomas, Morgan Fuehring, Brent Boland and Tori Hinton. The evening's judge was Allen Robinson from Wellsville.
