Charles F. Jackson, 85, of Sweet Springs, died Friday, July 16, 2010, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Graveside services with military rites will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs, with Rev. Tommy Goode officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs. Pallbearers are Russell Hall, Roger Hall, Hank Hall, Terry Hall, Chuck Hall and Jack Jackson. The honorary pallbearers are Seaton Hall, Ben Hall, Bud Gardner and Lloyd Jackson. Memorials may be made to family choice. An online guest book is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born Feb. 6, 1925, in Kansas City, Kan., he was the son of the late William L. Jackson and Stella Marie Packham Jackson. He had lived in Sweet Springs the past seven years and he spent the majority of his life working as a laborer in numerous saw mills. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from Nov. 19, 1948, until he was honorably discharged Oct. 13, 1950.
Survivors include three brothers, Donald L. Jackson of Sedalia, James Jackson of Houstonia and Jack Jackson of Forsyth; three sisters: Laura Rozzel of Kansas City, Bonnie Taylor of Spokane, Wash., and Yvonne Hall of Houstonia; one half-sister, Brenda Wiklund of West Plains; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Lester Jackson; three sisters: Olive Robertson, Martha Hall, Betty Iliff and Margaret Clark.
