At the Saline County Fair: Performers compete for showdown title

People congregated on the lawn, stretched out on tailgates and sat in bleachers as the anticipation for the 2010 Colgate Country Showdown began to build.

Wednesday, July 14, ten competitors from across the state performed for a cheering crowd. Performers from Marshall, Slater and Sweet Springs were among the talent.

Voted as this year's Miss Ray County, Sarah Craven from Hardin won the showdown.

Brittni Allison of Marshall was awarded second and Shyanne Sellers from Slater placed third.
