Boyd M. Markham, 68, of Marshall, died Saturday, July 2, 2010, at University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 9, 2010, at Ridge Park Cemetery, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to family choice. An online guest book is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born Sept. 4, 1941, in San Francisco, Calif., he was the son of the late Lawrence Markham and Irma Ely Markham. He was a graduate of East High School in Enterprise, Ore., where he participated in football, track and served on the student council. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving four years. He had lived in Marshall the past three years, previously living in various parts of the country while he worked with AT&T, retiring as an executive engineer after 30 years of employment.
Survivors include two daughters, Terri S. Evans of Marshall, Tammy K. Finke of Las Vegas, Nev.; one son, Charles "Jess" Markham of the state of Idaho; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Michael Lawrence Markham.
