Lucille Jeffress, 90, of Marshall, formerly of Boonville, died Thursday, June 10, 2010, at Golden Oaks Residential Care near Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2010, at Firm Foundation Foursquare Church in Boonville, with Rev. Mel Eaton and Rev. Cliff Cato officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in New Franklin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Firm Foundation Foursquare Church. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born Feb. 28, 1920, in College Mound, she was the daughter of the late Riley Leathers and Stella Slaughter Leathers. She had lived in Marshall the past 30 years, moving from Boonville, and was retired from Marshall Habilitation Center. She was a charter member of Firm Foundation Foursquare Church and attended Southside Assembly of God in Marshall. Survivors include one son, Leland Dale Jeffress Sr. of Marshall; one daughter, Carol Schupp of Marshall; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one brother, Jerry Leathers of Eldon; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert Leathers, Frank Leathers, Delmar Leathers and Don Leathers; one sister, Marie Vuilcot; and one great-granddaughter.
