Ronnie Pannell, 66, of Marshall died Thursday, May 6, 2010, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2010, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Mark Gooden officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Blue Lick Cemetery south of Marshall. Born April 9, 1944, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Roland G. Pannell and Margaret Shannahan Pannell Scott. On May 2, 1964, he married Joyce Simmons, who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall most of his life and worked for the city of Marshall for 33 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed restoring cars.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Lloyd Pannell and wife, Lisa, Lori Matheis, and Justin Pannell and wife, Joicy, all of Marshall; two grandchildren, Levi Matheis and Savannah Pannell; one sister, Barbara Ussery of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Bill Scott, and one sister, Wanda Saylor.
