Arlene Joyce Dankenbring Kueker, 68, of rural Sweet Springs died Saturday, May 1, 2010, at University Hospital in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sweet Springs, with Rev. Dan Wing officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Memorials may be made to family choice. Born Dec. 16, 1941, in Alma, she was the daughter of the late Henry Dankenbring and Hilda Gieselman Dankenbring. She was a 1960 graduate of Concordia High School. On April 18, 1969, she married Wilbur "Bill" Maurice Kueker, who preceded her in death Feb. 15, 2002. She had lived in rural Sweet Springs most of her life, where she worked with her husband on the farm as well as being a homemaker. She worked at Rival Manufacturing in Sweet Springs for 15 years. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in rural Sweet Springs.
Survivors include two sons, Kevin Kueker of Sandy Hook, Miss., and John Kueker of Sweet Springs; one daughter, Amy Fiedler of rural Sweet Springs; one grandson; three brothers, Ivan Dankenbring of Gilbert, Ariz., Larry Dankenbring of Mesa, Ariz., and David Dankenbring of Menomenee Falls, Wis.; three sisters, Bernice Langkrahr, Lora Burrow and Cathy Bell, all of Concordia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Darrel and Leroy Dankenbring.
