Charles Wesley "Chuck" Henke, 47, of Owensboro, Ky., previously of Marshall, died Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Rough River Lake in Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 29, 2010, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Malta Bend Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Malta Bend Cemetery or Community Cancer Center. Born Dec. 15, 1962, in Owensboro, he was the son of Sara Ghee Miller and Charles Henry Henke. He lived in Marshall, Columbia, Nevada, Mehlville, Carrollton. He spent most of his adult life in Owensboro, Ky. He graduated from Carrollton High School. He attended Missouri Western College and Missouri Valley College. He enjoyed being at Rough River Lake on his houseboat, spending time with his family and friends, and riding his motorcycle.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Charles H. and Sandy Henke of Concordia; his mother and stepfather, Sara Ghee (Miller) and David Thomas of Carrollton; one sister, Sara Ghee Mason and husband, Mike Johnson, of Owensboro; one nephew, Chase Mason; two nieces, Lauren and Larkin Johnson; two stepsisters, Stefanie Kirchhoff and Stacey Paine, both of Overland Park, Kan.; his companion, Mary Jacob and her children, Weston Jacob and Grace Jacob, all of Owensboro; and several aunts and uncles.
