Elsie Louise Cardwell passed away peacefully at home with her family on Friday, April 16, 2010.

Born June 26, 1928, in Marshall, she was the daughter of Eddie and Elsie Huffman. On April 12, 1952, she married Curtis Cardwell from Jefferson City. She provided many years of dedicated service to the State of Missouri and retired in the 1980s. She and Curtis moved to the mountain west in 1990, where they settled in Boise, Idaho. They enjoyed a wonderful retirement filled with many travels and time spent with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved the Yellowstone National Park area and the desert southwest.
She is survived by two sons, Terry Cardwell and wife, Jan, and Chad Cardwell and wife, Hattie; one daughter, Susan Holman and husband, Rick; eight grandchildren, Kelly, Angie, Sarah, Christopher, Stefanie, Kimberly, Madelyn and Eleanor; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Curtis Cardwell.
