William S. "Bill" Bray, 89, of Sedalia, formerly of Sweet Springs, died Monday, April 19, 2010, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Memorials may be made to the charity of donor's choice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com. Born June 7, 1920, in Waverly, he was the son of the late George V. Bray and Lois Robertson Bray. He was a graduate of Sweet Springs High School and attended Central Missouri State University for two years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving overseas. On Jan. 8, 1947, he married Pearl I. Harms, who survives of the home. He was a stores clerk for TWA in Kansas City for more than 25 years, retiring in 1983. He had lived in Sedalia the past 20 years, moving from Raytown, and was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Sweet Springs and Barbee Lodge No. 217 A.F. & A.M. in Sweet Springs.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one sister, Marian Parsons of Kansas City and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Corder Bray and Clifford Bray.
