Garth Bibens, 54, of Marshall died Saturday, April 17, 2010, at University of St. Louis in St. Louis.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev. Reggie Palmer officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born Nov. 17, 1955, in Hutchinson, Kan., he was the son of the late David Bibens and Mary Jane Germann Bibens, who survives of Carrollton. He was a 1974 graduate of Carrollton High School. On Dec. 2, 1983, he married Diane L. Holt, who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall most of his life and worked as a maintenance supervisor for Butterfield Youth Services for 20 years, retiring in 2008.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by four daughters, Dayna Driskell, Michelle Murphy, Haley Bibens and Sharae Kelly, all of Marshall; six sons, Garth Bibens II, Jeremy Womack, Dustin Bibens, Patrick Bibens, William Bibens and Lyle Williams, all of Marshall; six grandchildren; two brothers, David Bibens of Del City, Okla., and Jeff Bibens of Dodge City, Kan.; one sister, Mary Lock of Carrollton; and several nieces and nephews.
