William M. Vesser, 91, of Marshall died Thursday, April 15, 2010, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to Fitzgibbon-Mary Montgomery Hospice. Born Aug. 31, 1918, in Saline County, he was the son of the late Marcus J. Vesser and Ethel Call Vesser. On April 2, 1938, he married Elizabeth Nichols, who preceded him in death Nov. 9, 2001. He had lived in Saline County his entire life, was a farmer and had worked at International Shoe Company. He was a member of Gill Memorial Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son in infancy, Lyle Leroy Vesser; and one brother, Marcus Junior "Skip" Vesser.
