Evelyn May Clause, 70, of Marshall, died Friday, April 2, 2010, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2010, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or American Cancer Society. Born March 19, 1940, in Marshall, she was the daughter of William "Bill" Thornton, who survives of Sibley, and the late Lottie Blackwell Thornton. She had lived in Marshall most of her life and was a graduate of Fort Osage High School in Independence. She worked at Marshall Habilitation Center for many years and had also worked at Head Start Preschool in Marshall. She was currently working at Normanni Motel in Marshall. She attended Bethany Baptist Church.
Additional survivors include three sons, David Wayne Clause, William Alan "Will" Clause, both of Marshall, and Dennis Eugene Clause of Crestwood, Ky.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Judy Rash of Sibley; and several nieces and nephews.
