Newscope: Fund set up for Vincent-McGuire

Friday, April 2, 2010

A fund has been established at State Bank of Slater for Keri Vincent-McGuire, a 34-year-old Slater alumna. She has three children and recently gave birth to triplets, two boys and one girl. She has also been diagnosed with breast cancer. In November, she underwent a modified radical mastectomy and will begin chemotherapy treatments in April. Her husband is currently unemployed. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.

The Pink Purse Society will host a five-year anniversary dance Friday, April 2, at Slater Volkfest Building, located on the 600 block of Leroy Street, from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tickets: $5. All proceeds to benefit the Keri Vincent-McGuire fund.

In addition to this benefit, which I know people will help all they can. Maybe there is some business owner out there that could also give her husband a job too.
