Margaret Helen Aulgur, 89, of rural Marshall, died Friday, March 26, 2010, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Pastor Glen Aulgur officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Born Aug. 17, 1920, in Pettis County, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Hardin Thomas and Mabel Barton Thomas. On Feb. 24, 1939, she married Aubrey A. Aulgur, who preceded her in death Sept. 22, 1996. She had lived in Saline County most of her life and was a homemaker. She attended Calvary Baptist Church in Marshall.
Survivors include three children, Howard "Butch" Aulgur and wife, Ann, Rick Aulgur and wife, Mary, and Sherry Richart and husband, Jerry, all of rural Marshall; eight grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, John L. Thomas of Marshall and Jim H. Thomas of rural Marshall; two sisters, Grace Walker of Marshall and Irene Sims of rural Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Thomas and Clifford Thomas.
